Nope! With that being said, it is important to remember that your pet has a very strong sense of smell. We recommend starting out with a very small application amount once a day and then monitoring your pet and adjusting your number and size of applications accordingly.

When inhaled, the scent molecules in our essential oil blend travel from the olfactory nerves directly to the brain and especially impact the amygdala, the emotional center of the brain. Dogs, in particular, possess such a strong sense of smell that they are heavily impacted by aromatherapy.

While both methods of application will benefit your pet, massaging the oil into their skin increases circulation and thus increases absorption. Utilizing the massage method undoubtedly gives you more bang for your buck!

While applying directly to the fur provides the strongest results, we also recommend administering essential oils onto your pet’s collar or bed. Applying it to their collar allows for long-lasting aromatherapy effects while utilizing the roll-on directly on your pet’s bed is a great way to give them a better night’s sleep!
